Two representatives of the group went to Derry to see how they made a successful case for City of Culture status.

Support was given to the friends to what was a very successful day and which resulted in good PR for Aberdeen1st.

Financial contribution given to the organisers of attached to have a banner showing                           ” ABERDEEN1st ” at beginning of parade.

The Christmas lights display in Aberdeen have been complimented by many people and it is agreed they are excellent and colourful and a credit to the City of Aberdeen.

Over the period since the launch of Aberdeen 1st a number of discussion have taken place with people from the private sector .

These possible investors have met with the Lord Provost, Dennis Davidson, and George Yule, and Alan Reid, along with James Knowles who is coordinating  Aberdeen 1st.

Everyone without exception has been supportive to the cause of “emphasising the positives about the City” and we are awaiting their responses.
